FAQ

Who is Stampy for?

Anyone who needs to print one PDF per person with a clear name label — teachers, scout and cub leaders, sports coaches, music tutors, workshop runners, camp counsellors, kids' party hosts. If you've ever stuck handwritten labels on a stack of identical worksheets or activity packs, this is for you.

Do I have to add a class or group? Can I just stamp names?

Yes — leave it as a single line per person and you'll get just the name. The class/group is optional. Use the | character only when you want a second (or third, or fourth) line.

What does the | do?

It splits one person's label onto multiple lines, up to 4. So Riley Zoonalipi | U9 Unicorns | Saturday renders as three centred lines on Riley's PDF.

One person per line in the textarea — commas and semicolons aren't delimiters.

Are my PDFs or names stored anywhere?

No. Your upload, the names you type, and the labelled output are held on the server just long enough to make your zip, then deleted the moment it downloads. No accounts, no analytics, no logs of names — see the Nothing is stored note in the footer.

What are the file size limits?

Up to 25MB per PDF, up to 20 PDFs per run, and up to 200 people per list. Each person × each PDF gets its own labelled file in the zip.

Which page does Stampy label, and where on the page?

Just page 1 by default — print the whole PDF and staple, page 1 is the cover. The label goes in the top-right corner with its own background so even art underneath gets cleanly masked.

Under Advanced you can change the position (top-left, top-centre, or "Auto (smart whitespace)" which finds a clean strip if one exists), and tick Stamp every page for handouts that get separated — workshop sheets, scout activity packs, sports drills. Note: Auto + every page rasterises each page so it's slow on long PDFs; explicit alignments are near-instant.
